The Network

The Network is establishing a new structure with a Steering Committee and officers! The following positions are open! Except for Chair and Vice Chair, all positions can be shared as Co- positions between 2 people. If you are interested in moving The Network forward, please email rebecca@mitchellchamber.com and indicate which position you are interested in and why you would be great in that position!

2016 Logo            Vice Chair – The Vice Chair will assume responsibilities of Chair if the Chair is unable to attend the meeting or if the position should become vacant. The Vice Chair will assist the Chair in oversight of the sub-committees.

            Social Events Coordinator – Plans social events like Networking After Hours, City Scavenger Hunt, sporting events, etc. The Coordinator can recruit committee members to help plan events. The committee should consider programs and events that bring community members together and encourage interaction with all participants. The committee shall have the responsibility to schedule events and venues with approval of the Chamber Liaison; welcome participants to the event; coordinate details with appropriate parties; and other duties as deemed appropriate by the Standing Committee.

            Communications Coordinator – Manages communication with members which may include e-newsletter, letters, postcards, e-mails, etc. Coordinate information to be included in e-newsletter and assist in creation of the e-newsletter as needed. Promote newsworthy events to the media. This Coordinator works closely with the Chamber Liaison to coordinate communication efforts.

Statement of Purpose:
 Provide young professionals in the Mitchell area with opportunities to develop socially & professionally.

Meetings: Meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 12:00 pm at The Ramada.

The Network
  • Networking After Hours: Held quarterly from 5-7 pm at different Chamber Member businesses. These happy hour events provide a casual atmosphere in which you can Network and build relationships amongst Mitchells’ growing young professional community.
  • Networking Lunch: Held monthly at different Chamber Member businesses. This is a great opportunity for young professionals in Mitchell to meet, interact, socialize and Network with a different topic each month.
  • My Biggest Break: Held each November at Logan Luxury Theatre. This is an opportunity to listen to two of Mitchell’s finest business leaders share their “Biggest Career Break” and Network with others.
