    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    Work safely, comply, and enforce all company and regulatory safety/environmental policies, practices, and procedures


    Oversee inventory cycle count team and implement and follow up on cycle count schedules


    Work with all personnel to ensure accuracy of paperwork and data entered


    Manage the procurement and inventory of parts/consumables using Microsoft Dynamics NAV MRP


    Initiate parts purchases from suppliers for procurement of all facilities parts and consumables


    Conduct inventory analysis to identify discrepancies in inventory counts and to reduce working capital costs


     Work with plant operations to understand inventory and waste to generate cost savings


    Work with management to conduct parts quality analysis to consistently meet production standards


    Negotiate with vendors for lower pricing and improved purchasing terms


    Evaluate and track vendor performance and conduct meetings with low-performing vendors to drive improvement


    Review inventory to determine unused items and recommend disposal of excess stock


    Ensure department records are accurate and purchasing documents are properly completed


    Maintain weekly and monthly reports and inventory reconciliation


    Oversee parts consumption within facilities by implementing parts database and check-in and check-out systems


     Work with corporate NAV MRP team to ensure accuracy of individual inventory items and make adjustments as needed


    Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.




    AS Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, related field, or equivalent experience, preferred


    2-5 years' experience purchasing and inventory experience for food/feed manufacturing


    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Microsoft Dynamics, preferred


    Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills


    Strong organizational and project management skills


    Knowledge of standard purchasing procedures and practices


    Travel up to 10% annually
