    Monday - Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm

    Monday - Friday, 4:00pm to 2:30am

    We are currently seeking General Laborers to perform a variety of roles at our 168,000 square foot cannery! We offer a starting base wage of $17/Hr., scheduled increases and weekly bonuses!     Areas of Accountability

      

    All areas of accountability to be delivered in a manner that aligns with the values and business strategy of Farmers Union Industries. Will specialize in the following areas:

    Meat Loading

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    Work safely and comply with company and regulatory safety/environmental policies, practices and procedures

      

    Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, customer service and professionalism to promote a positive image of the company

      

    Operate forklift to load and unload trucks

      

    Select, clean, pack, and palletize pet food

      

    Load and unload items onto equipment for processing

      

    Operate multiple unit operations, opportunities to train and cross train in different areas

      

    Move product to the proper area, following all department and QA procedures

      

    Transfer finished goods to pallets and move to holding freezer

      

    Ensure proper housekeeping throughout the shift and in all department areas

      

    Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

      

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred

      

    Forklift certified, preferred

      

    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis

      

    Ability to push/ pull up to 100 pounds on a routine basis

      

    Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb, frequently

      

    Ability to handle hot and cold conditions (must dress according to weather) and be aware of any wet floors or other hazards
