    Job Description
    Production Helper Works for the Team Lead performing various tasks (described below). Tasks are in direct support of Core Assembly productivity and quality.

    Tasks and Responsibilities
    • Assist Core Team Lead in staging core jobs for Core Assembly from Next Job location
    • Retrieve and inspect (check for flatness) jigs and spacers for jobs staged at Core Assembly. Straighten as required
    • Retrieve Kanban parts for jobs staged at Core Assembly. Empty Kanban baskets returned to Profile Saw.
    • Assist Core Assembly by answering “light on” situations at build stations. Make sure logs are updated appropriately.
    • Assist Core Team Lead inspecting built cores before going to the CAB. Report needed training to the Team Lead
    • Assist Core Team Lead scanning built cores into the computer before going to the CAB
    • Conduct other supportive roles as directed by Department Supervisor and/or Lead. These jobs could include but not limited to…
    • Jig and spacer storage organizing
    • Verify parts are correct to a blueprint
    • Returning over-pulled parts. Make sure logs are updated appropriately
    • Assisting CAB Helper
    • Assisting McCore Operator take away and record parts
    • Core straightening, Post CABMaintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Report any issues to the Supervisor, or appropriate personnel, as soon as detected.
    • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and/or requirements set forth in AKG’s environmental management system (EMS).
    • Regular physical attendance is a requirement for this position. Refer to AKG attendance policy in the Information Handbook for Employees.
    Job Qualifications
    -       Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. 
    • Must be available and able to work the agreed upon shift.
    • Must have great attention to detail.
    • Must be able to stand (70%), sit (10%) and walk (20%) of the time. May also be required to bend, stoop, pull, push, twist and turn. 
    • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs (30%) of the time.
    -       Must wear safety equipment PPE such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses and gloves.
