Welder-Full-time

Welder: Full-time – SDI – Mitchell location
           
                    2510 S Mentzer St. Mitchell, SD 57301

Shift:   Monday – Thursday 6:30 am – 5:00 pm (Friday’s as needed)

Position Summary: SD Industries, LLC manufactures steel and stainless-steel product lines to meet the needs of our customers by using advanced technology and modern machinery.  The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, energetic, and dependable team player.

Position Reports to: Welding Lead

General Responsibilities:

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• MIG welding.
• TIG welding a plus.
• Work in other areas of fabrication and machine shop.
• Must be well organized, self-motivated, and possess good communication skills. 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 12+ months related experience and/or training (technical school) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Vocational technical school preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
• Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner. 

Physical Requirements:

• Stand, bend, walk and sit 1-10 hours per day
• Lift, carry push or pull up to 50-pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work overtime as needed to meet the demands of our customers
