Salary $55,000-$65,000 based upon experience and licensure.
Engage Counseling in Mitchell SD is currently receiving inquiries for a full-time therapist (LPC or Social Worker). Considered candidates will have a master’s in counseling psychology/social work or related field and will have or will be eligible for obtaining SD licensure. Engage is looking for a motivated individual who is open to supporting faith influenced counseling, is willing to be trained in trauma-based methods and enjoys working in a dynamic team setting. Competitive compensation and robust benefits/professional development/incentive package will be based upon experience and licensure. All referrals provided by the practice start full time immediately for approved candidates. 
primary responsibilities

  • Provides evaluation/problem identification, crisis interventions and individual and/or group therapy to assigned consumers (minimum of 20 sessions per week with flexible scheduling.)
  • Develops treatment plans; monitors treatment progress and follows-up at timely intervals.
  • Works with psychiatrist/PCP when consumer is in need of medications.
  • Maintains accurate and timely clinical records consistent with practice standards.
  • Participates in meetings, in-services and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.
additional responsibilities
  1. Participates in community events, meetings, trainings, and outreach as available.
  2. Work as a team player by helping to perform duties of courtesy coverage and customer service for other therapists and office manager.
  3. Ensures continued training appropriate to the needs of the practice and licensure.
  4. Integrate policies and program within the overall Engage Services philosophy of client contact and treatment.
  5. At all times represent Engage Services LLC in a positive and professional manner.
  6. Demonstrates and practices the reporting of signs of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of others as a mandated reporter.
 
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Must have a valid South Dakota Driver’s license.
  • Must have a master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or other behavioral science.
  • Must have a current South Dakota Licensed Professional Counselor licensure (LPC, LPC-MH or LMFT) and be in good standing with the South Dakota Board of Examiners for Counselor Marriage and Family Therapists.
  • Be eligible to apply for apply for a plan of supervision with the SD counselor or social work board.
  • May not have on record a substantiated report of child abuse or neglect.
ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS: Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy. Knowledge of community resources. Ability to serve a wide range of consumers, including culturally diverse populations. Knowledge of cultural issues that may have a bearing on service provision. Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately. Familiar with the DSM-V and diagnostic techniques. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy includes basic skills in e-mail communication and word processing. Ability to work flexible and on-call hours, which may be required. Ability to travel within the practice’s service area or to other locations as needed.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive compensation: $55k to 65k$ depending on licensure and experience.  A robust benefits/professional development/incentive package will be based upon experience and licensure.
