Mitchell Main Street Window Art Contest

Mitchell Main Street & Beyond, Mitchell Area Council of the Arts, Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce, and Main Street business owners have come together to create outdoor art that welcomes everyone to downtown Mitchell, SD in a unique and exciting way, Window Art!

In August 2022, the contest theme was Adventure, Nature, Landscapes which the sponsors hoped would encourage all outdoor enthusiasts to show their appreciation of scenic views, beautiful vistas, and iconic imagery. All ages and skill levels were welcomed to participate.

Official entry forms were made available at the Mitchell Public Library, and 401 Create, or on-line at mitchellchamber.com/window-art-contest . Everyone was welcome to submit their art in one of the four categories:  Youth (up to 12); Teen (13-19); Adult and Veteran. All entries were submitted to the Mitchell Public Library, or 401 Create in September 2022. Submitted art became the property of the Mitchell Area Council of the Arts.
